Body hacking ignites feeling, rage and grief into confronting the ways our senses, and our capacity to feel and remember have been colonised
Body hacking recognises the contradictions, complexities, losses and sorrows of living in this global continuous ecogenocidal era with all the legacies of colonial violence
Body hacking as a mode builds surrealist universes where inter-specie ghosts live and endure
Body hacking reclaims the ecoerotic as a critical proposal directed at all the ways our bodies have been, and continue to be hijacked
body_hacker is an antidisciplinary performance artist that builds their works from erotic surrealistic universes.
The erotic is a threshold of blurry edges between our multiple contradicting selves, circulating synergy with the world, and “the chaos of our innermost feelings”(1). Wherefrom, such erotic universes manifest in poetic images, sonic glitches, emotionally charged text, and ritualistic happenings. These manifestations bring interspecie- poetic and intimate correspondences that dance between theory and praxis onto sensing language through the body. And make it possible to imagine what hasn’t been imagined yet, or to destabilize what has been imagined. And see possibilities into transform meaning and (sur)render it from what has been classifiable (2) and known in the world.
The poetic becomes a path to access an emotional and sensuous language that can be queered as in bent and re-twisted together with the body. Its virtuality becomes surreal. We gain an hypersensibility of space that is developed through practice. Our senses become multidirectional and expanded in relation. Always in relation oriented towards somewhere, someone(s), something. Even the invisible. Ghosts. The sub/unconscious. It pulls other sides of us, even the elusive and coded subconscious of our politics. This queered use of the poetic breaks with time zones, producing glitches within an arrest of time from the body-space. The glitch disturbs, and recognizes the disturbance (and the erratic nature) inherent in the absurd (2) existence of life under capitalism. Its spirals of non-linear time and journeys into the future feedback into the past (3).

The Ghost Soma

The Ghost Soma is a somatic trance workshop with body_hacker at Danseatelier in Nørrebro, Copenhagen.
You will (re)enter a trance universe ready to reveal your ghost body - what we call the soma, your multiple body(-ies). The physical, the psychic, the emotional, and spiritual bodies. You will get to know its most erotic terrain.
We will do different exercises moving backwards as a way to retrace this ghost body. This will be activated through sound, words and silence (played recordings) and live instruction by the facilitator.
