Attempting Comradeship

A Performance Protocol

  1. I invite you to embody the comrade that you already are, that is to (re)enter into a relation with another.

  2. You will hold another companion together and walk; gaze eye-to-eye.

  3. You will end feeding another and being fed in return

This protocol invites an audience to participate in a performance protocol that attempts to create a relationship of comradeship between strangers in the space. This comradeship is somatic and relational where negotiations of consent become tested through presence. Here, we depart from the bodily, somatic presence and feeling into action. What creates a comrade if not the ability to be present with what is? Or, the ability to look another in the eye and co-create in order to take any collective action or endeavour?
